So last week I talked about sitting in my parents basement when I was a kid watching old movies and TV shows. A favorite was How to Marry a Millionaire from 1953 starring Marilyn Monroe, Lauren Bacall, and Betty Grable. If you like 50's fashion I highly recommend it as it does include a fashion show as all three ladies work as model. They team up to get a penthouse apartment so they can meet millionaires that they hope to marry. It is quite cute and funny so if you are looking for something light this is for you.

I love Marilyn so much, she had such a tragic life, but being remembered with programmes like this make is so much more memorable and shows what a beautiful person she really was.

This is one of my favorite films, no doubt! You're right, it is a fashion show of the 50, wonderful! And cat's eye glasses are on my wish list too ...
ReplyDeleteHello, I just discovered your blog this past week and read your post about wanting a pink bathtub. My husband and I are in the process of renovating a house that we recently purchased and are looking to get rid of ours. It is a left hand drain tub and it is in good condition. We live in Wisconsin. If you are still interested or have any questions. I can be reached at MLRosega@yahoo.com
ReplyDeleteThanks,
